Flavia into US Open
3rd round 28th August 2008 Flavia
has scored her best result at the US Open after she defeated Shuai Peng
of China 6-2 6-7 6-1 to advance to the 3rd round of the US Open.
In the 3rd round to be played on Saturday, Flavia will play #19 seed
Nadia Petrova of Russia.
US Open draw released 21st August 2008 The
draw for the US Open has been released and Flavia is the 16th seed and
will play Stefanie Vogele of Switzerlandin the 1st round. They
have never played before. Flavia scored her best
result here when she reached the 2nd round.
Flavia out of New Haven 20th August 2008 Flavia was knocked out of the singles and doubles in New Haven
today. In the singles Flavia lost 6-4 4-6 3-6 to Sorana Cirstea of
Romania.

Flavia defeated Gisela Dulko of Argentina to get her first ever win in
New Haven today. Flavia won 6-3 6-1 to set up a last 16 clash with
Sorana Cirstea of Romania, they have never played before. Flavia
also won in the doubles with Kirilenko.
New Haven draw released 16th August 2008 The
draw for New Haven has been released and Flavia is the #6 seed and will
play Gisela Dulko or Argentina in the 1st round. Dulko leads the
series 3-1. Last year Flavia lost in the 1st round of qualifying.
Flavia out of Olympics

Flavia is out of the Olympics in the 1st round after she lost 2-6 6-7 to
Kaia Kanepi of Estonia.
Olympics draw released 7th August 2008 The
draw for the Olympics in Beijing has been released and Flavia is the
14th seed and will face Kaia Kanpei of Estonia in the 1st round.
Flavia leads Kanepi 3-1 in the head-to-head.
In the doubles Flavia teams up with Francesca Schiavone and they play
the Australian duo of Alicia Molik and Casey Dellacqua.
Flavia loses Montreal
doubles final 2nd August 2008 Flavia
and Maria Kirilenko lost the doubles final in Montreal to #1 seeds Cara Black
and Liezel Huber 1-6 1-6. Even though they lost they still had a
great tournament together in reaching a tier 1 final.
