US Open draw released

The draw for the US Open has been released and Flavia is the #18 seed and will face Viktoriya Kutuzova of the Ukraine in the 1st round.  Flavia has played Kutuzova once before at Indian Wells last year and lost in 3 sets.  Flavia is seeded to meet #12 seed Dinara Safina of Russia in the 3rd round.  Last year Flavia lost in the 1st round here to Julia Schruff and has never won a match here before.

Flavia wins her opening match at Montreal

Flavia is through to the 2nd round of the Rogers Cup at Montreal after she defeated Galina Voskoboeva of Russia 6-3 6-1.  In the 2nd round Flavia will play Marion Bartoli of France, Flavia has played Bartoli once before and won that match.

Montreal draw released
12th August 2006
The draw for the Rogers Cup in Montreal has been released and Flavia is the #12 seed and will face a qualifier in the 1st round.  In the 2nd round Flavia will play either Anna Smashnova or Marion Bartoli.

Last year Flavia reached the quarters here and has 75 points to defend.

Flavia out of Los Angeles

Flavia is out of Los Angeles in the 2nd round after she lost 4-6 6-2 5-7 to Bethanie Mattek of the United States. 

Flavia will next play Montreal beginning next week.

Flavia out of San Diego

Flavia is out of San Diego after she lost 2-6 6-3 1-6 to #8 seed Martina Hingis of Switzerland.

Flavia will next play Los Angeles beginning on Manday.
